Advancing Male Pelvic Health with Shockwave

Treat the route cause of common men’s health conditions with shockwave therapy

Course Details

This new hybrid course explores managing male pelvic health conditions using focused shockwave therapy.

All the course theory will be sent to you prior to you attending the course and you will be able to study this in your own time (Equivalent to day 1 days reading).

On the day you will be with Gerard & Yves face to face in clinic where they will concentrate on a hands on approach to focused shockwave applications and interactive discussion.

This new course is open to physiotherapists, osteopaths, podiatrists, sports therapists, chiropractors & GPs. This one-day practical course aims to train those already experienced in the use of focused shockwave therapy to deepen their understanding and gain practical experience in applying it to male pelvic health and urology conditions.

The day is split between theory and practical sessions- but with an emphasis on practical sessions to ensure practical experience is gained with the device and to explore this revolutionary treatment that has helped clinics develop effective programs for their male pelvic health and urology patients.

This course will also cover the key subjective aspects of a male pelvic health or urology patient to include erectile dysfunction, pelvic pain, peyronie’s disease and coccydynia. The course will also cover relevant physical assessment and sessions on practical pelvic, pelvic floor and penile anatomy as related to the application of focused shockwave in Men’s Health.

Conditions that practical sessions will focus on will include erectile dysfunction, male pelvic pain, pudendal neuralgia, Peyronie’s disease and coccydynia along with the latest evidence on shockwave mechanisms and effectiveness.

We aim to provide clarity and guidance on clinical reasoning in the overall decision making on when to offer shockwave therapy, what protocol to use, what additional modalities to use alongside shockwave and how to overall manage male pelvic health patients.

The course will begin at 9.15am and end at approximately 4.30pm and will be hosted in our Liverpool training centre. There will be a break around midday for lunch, which will be provided. Any dietary requirements will be requested on booking.

As this is a practical hands-on course numbers are limited, and it is expected to book up quickly.

You must have owned a Storz Medical shockwave device for more than six months to be eligible for this course.
